For the first stop on the 2025 Collingsworth County Crop Tour Friday morning, Sept. 5, participants gather at the cotton trials at Wischkeamper Farms, located north of Quail on FM 1547. Observing the high level of performance evident in the cotton trials, Doug Cossey, BASF-Fibermax representative, and Tyson Schulte, Delta Pine representative, address the crowd.

Lee, explains life during the American Civil War to area students during the 2024 Living History Weekend at Powell Park in Wellington. Hosted by the Sons of Confederate Veterans Charles Goodnight Frontier Reg. Camp #2280, the 2025 event will again take place Friday-Saturday, Oct. 3-4 at Wellington’s Powell Park on Hwy 83.
