TxDOT to offer free child car seat inspections in Memphis

CHILDRESS — The Childress District of the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will offer free child car safety seat inspections, as well as free car seats and installation, during a Child Safety Seat Check Event from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, May 30 at the Memphis Public Library.

Folks gather for 2026 Quail reunion

QUAIL – At the location of the former Quail School, doors opened at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 4 for the traditional Quail Ex-Student Banquet. Founded by the Class of 1949, Quail graduates and guests meet annually the Saturday prior to Easter.
Youth partaking in the Wellington Opportunity Center, Inc. afterschool program take a moment to contemplate winning the 2026 Lawncare Combo Package, comprised of a DeWALT cordless push mower string trimmer and blower combo.
