In the summer, 24 years ago, my father was diagnosed with lymphoma. That’s how our “sandwich generation,” where you are pushed and pulled by your needy children and your needy parents at the same time, got started. It can prove to be overwhelming.

WELLINGTON – Mallory O’Rear, a Wellington High School (WHS) junior, earned the 70th Miss Wellington crown during an anniversary production by former title holders beginning at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1 at the Ritz Theatre.

Last week at Hedley Independent School District (ISD),the varsity Owls played the Patton Springs Rangers with an ending score of 6448. The game also held the 2023 homecoming election. Ashlee Holmes, Flor Silvestre, Malorie Collins and Madison Moore all were a part of the homecoming court.
