The 2025 inductees to the Rocket House Hall of Fame, inducted by Wellington Ex-Students, include Kyle Kane, left, and Jason Mathis, with his mother Renee Mathis accepting his award on his behalf. The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Ellison Park Renovation Project grant application proposal includes constructing additional parking spaces and functional sidewalks to access Parkview Manor Assisted Living and Wellington High School. The Wellington City Council and Ellison Park Working Group anticipate hearing from TxDOT in October and the Texas Park and Wildlife Department in January 2026 whether the grant applications are approved.
