TULIA — The Childress Lady Cats stung the Tulia Hornets in a 13-2 final Friday,March 27,thanks to major plays by Ansley Parr, who was dominant in the circle,ringing up 15 strikeouts and surrendering two hits and two runs over six innings while walking none.

Cyclones open district play

MEMPHIS — The Memphis Cyclones opened district play, taking losses against Floydada on Tuesday,March 24 and Clarendon on Friday, March 27 and a win against Quanah on Tuesday, March 31.

TULIA — The Childress Bobcats took a 12-4 loss to Tulia Friday, March 27 on opponent turf, despite outhitting the Hornets as Koen Galligan, Mason Overmiller, Benton Sims and Colton Teichelman each put up two hits.

Childress’ Ansley Parr named Press Pass Sports Athlete of the Week

AMARILLO — Childress’ Ansley Parr, a pitcher for the Lady Cats, was recently named Press Pass Sports’ First United Bank Girls’ Athlete of the Week, announced Wednesday,March 25.“Ansley is one of the hardest workers I’ve ever been around,” Childress head softball coach Charsli Bozeman said.

Skyrockets take on Floydada, Lockney

WELLINGTON — The Wellington Skyrockets continued district play, taking a loss to Floydada on Friday, March 27 and securing a win over Lockney on Tuesday,March 31.Despite outhitting the Whirlwinds, Wellington fell 11-5 to Floydada as Alex Orozco led with two hits.
