CHILDRESS — The No. 2-ranked Childress Lady Cats have racked up an impressive nine homeruns over the last three games, including seven homers in an 11-9 win over Bushland Tuesday, April 2.

AMARILLO – Jimmy “Jax” Cantu exploded onto the scene in a hurry,making the transition from junior high to high school look like an easy one, earning himself the title of the 2026 Press Pass Sports Newcomer of the Year.

Bobcats blank River Road

CHILDRESS — The Childress Bobcats put up two losses— one against Dalhart and another against Bushland—before finding the win column in a 15-0 shutout against River Road Tuesday, April 7 in Childress.
Wellington Lady Rockets Taytum Kane, a sophomore, and Brynlee Proffitt, a senior, were recently named to the Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA) All-State team. The sophomore guard and senior forward helped guide the girls to the UIL Division I Regional Finals and an impressive 28-8 season record. Wellington High School

Wellington doubles teams advance to region

AMARILLO – Wellington made a mark at the District 2-2A Invitational Tennis Tournament as it came to a close Wednesday, March 30 at the Rebel Tennis Center in Amarillo, with playback matches finishing Thursday, March 31 in Wellington.
