The Childress Lady Cat softball team puts in some practice Monday, Jan. 16, gearing up for the upcoming season, which officially beings at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30 against the West Plains Lady Wolves in Amarillo.

Jan. 20 The junior varsity and varsity Memphis Cyclone and Lady Cyclone basketball teams play the Shamrock Irish in Memphis. Junior varsity girls play at 4 p.m. followed by junior varsity boys at 5 p.m., varsity girls at 6:30 p.m. and varsity boys at 8 p.m. Jan.

RICHARDSON — Lubbock Christian University (LCU) Lady Chaparral Grace Foster, a 2021 Childress High School graduate, was recently recognized by the Lone Star Conference (LSC) as the Women’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week.
