Nearly 40 student athletes turned out for former Childress Coach Phillip Rhode’s track practice Tuesday, May 25. The free program, which will last approximately four weeks, runs from 2-3 p.m. Monday-Thursday at Fair Park Stadium. All athletes of any age are welcome to attend.

ALTUS — Over 300 area students, including those from Childress and Memphis, recently competed at the All-Star Olympics, an annual competition for children and adults with special needs, hosted by Altus Public Schools.

WELLINGTON — Dropping the bi-district championship, the Wellington Skyrockets ended the season 7-8-1 with an 18-8 loss to the Sanford- Fritch Eagles Friday, May 5 in Lockney.
