Hall County okays sheriff ’s agreement with Memphis

MEMPHIS — The Hall County Sheriff ’s Office is now being paid by the City of Memphis for law enforcement services following the county’s approval of an interlocal agreement last week.

MEMPHIS — The Hall County Courthouse restoration is expected to be completed this October, project officials told commissioners last week. “We expect it to be complete by Oct. 30, 2026,” project manager Lee Evans with Premier Commercial Group said at a called commissioners’ meeting April 30.

CHILDRESS — A traffic stop by the Childress Police Department turned up kilos of meth, according to court documents. Nemecio Armando Villanueva, 29, of Amarillo, was pulled over by a Childress Police Department Officer in the early morning hours of Wednesday, Feb. 25.

Wellington City Council adopts new meeting date

WELLINGTON – Meeting at noon Monday, April 13 with Mayor Larry Adams presiding, the Wellington City Council convened for a special meeting with City Manager Justin Mixon, Councilmen Brent Martin, Jimmy Cantu Jr.
