The Wellington Methodist Women’s quilt raffle will take place at the annual Fall Bazaar, set for 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4 at the Fellowship Hall, 911 Bowie St. A tradition since the 1950s, the bazaar will offer a time of fellowship, food and fun as the community is invited to come shop at the fundraising event. Anne Fromm, 94, was the “birthday girl” at the recent Childress Senior Citizens Center luncheon. With an enthusiastic “Happy Birthday” sung to her, Fromm, who regularly dines at the weekly luncheon, had a choice of birthday cakes – all chocolate – as well as cobblers and pudding to satisfy her sweet tooth.
