CHILDRESS — In a tour of Texas Senate District 28, Sen. Charles Perry (R) hosted town hall forums in Childress and Wellington Tuesday, Jan. 18, sharing important accomplishments within the 88th Legislative Session, which ended December 2023.

Independent filmmaker to premier horror movie in his hometown

WELLINGTON – Dallas- based filmmaker Israel Luna will be screening his latest horror movie,“La Chancla Del Diablo,”in his hometown of Wellington. The Ritz Theatre in Wellington will showcase the film at 10 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19 and Saturday, Jan. 20.

MEMPHIS — The Hall County Jr. Livestock Show will welcome dozens of exhibitors this weekend, Saturday, Jan. 20, at the Hall County Show Barn. Showing, which begins at 9 a.m., will be preceded by animal weigh-in and move-in from 5-6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, and entry fee collection from 5-6 p.m.

LIVESTOCK SHOW The Childress County Livestock Show will take place Friday, Jan. 12-Saturday, Jan. 13 at the Mashburn Event Center and Arena. Showing will begin at 6 p.m. Friday with rabbits, followed by fancy chickens. Saturday showing will begin at 9 a.m.
