WHS One Act cast, crew earn accolades

WELLINGTON – While judges selected Wellington High School’s (WHS) “Little Women” as the alternate advancing play at the District 2-2A One Act Play Competition Wednesday, March 11 at the WHS auditorium, the cast and crew received an array of awards.

CHILDRESS — The Childress High School (CHS) One Act Play (OAP) cast and crew advanced to the bi-district round with their performance of “Cicada” by Jerre Dye, which earned them a second-place finish at the District 1-3A competition Thursday, March 5 in Bushland.
Located at 1500 8th St. in Wellington, the Collingsworth County Chamber of Commerce hosts a ribbon cutting for Pueblo Viejo Mexican Restaurant, alongside owner Rebecca Rodriguez, at 4:30 p.m. Friday, March 13, witnessed by her family, staff and community supporters. The Red River Sun/Bev Odom
