Wellington Volunteer Fire Department hosts first annual varmint hunt event, multiple fundraisers

WELLINGTON – Wellington Volunteer Fire Department (WVFD) conducted its first annual Varmint Hunt from noon Saturday, March 9 to 1 p.m. Sunday, March 10. With two-four members per teams,competitors paid an entry fee of $300 per team.

Childress County 4-H expands robotics program,thanks to IREN

Thanks to a Community Grant by IREN, formerly known as Iris Energy, the Childress County 4-H Club expands the robotics program with additional robotic kits and iPads. During the February meeting, 4-H members learned how to assemble and code robots using the new equipment.
