Wellington Professional Women’s (WPW) Club spotlights its 2026 Woman of the Year, Megan Rodriguez, with a tea from 10-11:30 a.m. Friday, April 24 at the Community Center Club Room.
The First Baptist Church (FBC) 55+ luncheon meets Tuesday, April 14 in the Fellowship Hall, welcoming a crowd of 25. Meal and fellowship were followed by a word from FBC Pastor Tim Medley. Those planning on attending the upcoming Springtime Jubilee Conference were given the itinerary. There will be 15 senior adults making the trip, along with Medley. COURTESY PHOTO

The Wellington High School Class of 2026 departed at 5 a.m. Sunday, April 26 for Oklahoma City. Once in OKC, students kicked things off with breakfast at IHOP, then hit the track for some high-speed fun at Andretti’s.

MEMPHIS — The Memphis City Council gave its approval to an interlocal agreement with the Hall County Sheriff ’s Office Monday night, April 27, that calls for the county to provide law enforcement services in the city through Sept. 30.
