At the Childress Municipal Airport

CHILDRESS — Tuesday, Nov. 25, a Cessna 182 flew in from Decatur on business; an experimental aircraft fueled up on its way from Weatherford to Colorado; and another experimental stopped in for fuel on its way from Colorado to New Braunfels.

TxDOT Childress District earns Texas Bluebonnet Safety Award

CHILDRESS — The Childress District of the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) was recently honored with the Texas Bluebonnet Safety Award in recognition of achieving zero incidents in 2024.

CTX Run Club extends Miles for Miracles donation deadline

CHILDRESS — CTX Run Club has extended the donation deadline for Miles for Miracles, a holiday drive which gives back to local nursing home residents, collecting cozy and comforting items, like warm blankets, fuzzy socks, stuffed animals and more.

Area happenings

Events are listed free of charge for nonprofit civic organizations, schools and community events. Submit listings at least two weeks ahead of the date. Listings will run throughthe date of the event. Emailed submissions are preferred to etanner@hicks-co.
