PUBLIC MEETINGS Wellington City Council will convene at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7 at City Hall. Collingsworth County Commissioners will meet at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 14 upstairs in the courthouse.

Wellington Nazarene Church invites ladies to special Spark Day

WELLINGTON — Wellington Church of the Nazarene invites ladies for a special event, Ladies Spark Day, from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 5 at 1000 Amarillo St. “We want you to come for a free brunch and Ladies Spark Day,” said Minister Leah Fort.

Monday, Oct. 17 Breakfast: Pancakes with Bacon or Muffin with Yogurt, Fruit, Fruit Juice, Milk. Lunch: Cheeseburger or Hamburger, Curly French Fries, Baked Okra, Strawberry Cup, Milk. Tuesday, Oct. 18 Breakfast: Breakfast Taquitos or Breakfast Bread with Yogurt, Pears, Fruit Juice, Milk.

LIONS FUNDRAISER Wellington Lions Club will conduct its Fiesta Pile-On Dinner fundraiser from 5-6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14 at the school cafeteria, 1505 Childress St., prior to the Skyrockets versus Memphis Cyclones football game. Cost is $10 for adults and $6 for children 12-and-under.
