Wellington team, individuals garner championships at local Salt Fork SWCD contests

WELLINGTON – One local team and two individuals captured championship honors at the Wednesday, April 2 Salt Fork Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) #133 Greenbelt Invitational Land, Range, Plant Identification (ID) and Homesite Judging contests.

Inman, Archie and Tellez rein as 2025 Wellington queens

WELLINGTON – Anticipation filled the air as the Wellington High School (WHS) Booster Scholarship Fund organizers presented the 2025 Teen Miss, Junior Miss and Little Miss Wellington pageants at 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon, April 6 at the WHS auditorium.

WELLINGTON – Collingsworth County Ministerial Alliance (CCMA) invites area residents to join in the annual Community Easter Service set for 6 p.m. Sunday, April 13 at Trinity Fellowship, 1305 Ft. Worth St.First Christian Church Pastor Will Grant will bring the Easter message of hope.

Sparklers raise child abuse awareness on ‘Go Blue Day’

Wellington Gun Club, established in 2023, has plans to open the 2025 shooting season with a variety of shooting competitions at its 40-acre range, one mile west of Wellington on FM 338 and a half mile north on CR170. Spectators are invited to come out and watch the competitors in the Turkey Shoot, Quail Walk and Annie Oakley.
