Sweetheart O’Rear says farewell to Wellington Lions

WELLINGTON – Boss Lion Lori O’Rear welcomed the guests and membership to the 6:30 p.m.Monday,July 7 meeting of the Wellington Lions Club in the Club Room of the Bura Handle Community Center.Lion Dave Hall led the American pledge and Lion Lucinda Martindale led the Texas pledge.

On the south side of the Collingsworth County Courthouse Square are BRIX Bar and Eatery, 911 9th St., owned by Julie and Burl Brim Jr., and The Loft, 909 9th St., owned by Mark and Debbie Huntress. Described as “the ultimate country farmhouse experience in the heart of downtown,” The Loft offers an open floor plan with two private bedrooms and a charming loft area for kids. Wellington ex-students anticipate upcoming reunion

WELLINGTON – The saying “time is the most valuable asset you don’t own but is the most valuable thing a man can spend” remains true as the Wellington Ex-Students Association prepares for the 74th Annual Reunion Saturday, Aug. 2 at the Bura Handley Community Center in Wellington.

WELLINGTON EX-STUDENTS REUNIONRegistration for the 2025 reunion begins at 9 a.m. SaturdayAug. 2 at the Bura Handley Community Center. The annual business meeting and the announcement of two Rocket Wall of Fame honorees will take place at 11:30 a.m., followed by the famous grilled hamburger luncheon.
