Tentative plans disclosed for Wellington’s Ellison Park Renovation Project

While the Ellison Park renovation plans are tentative as news of the approval of the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department (TDWD) matching grant in the amount of $608,966 travels through the trails, Wellington City Manager Justin Mixon asks constituents to stay excited but have patience.

WELLINGTON – The Wellington Volunteer Fire Department (WVFD) kicked off its 2026 Varmint Hunt with check-in at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, followed by weigh-in at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11. Each two-four-man team paid an entry fee of $400.
