Wellington City Council adopts new meeting date

WELLINGTON – Meeting at noon Monday, April 13 with Mayor Larry Adams presiding, the Wellington City Council convened for a special meeting with City Manager Justin Mixon, Councilmen Brent Martin, Jimmy Cantu Jr.
On April 26, the Wellington Church of the Nazarene congregation observes Blue Sunday. WHS One Act cast, crew earn accolades

WELLINGTON – While judges selected Wellington High School’s (WHS) “Little Women” as the alternate advancing play at the District 2-2A One Act Play Competition Wednesday, March 11 at the WHS auditorium, the cast and crew received an array of awards.

WELLINGTON – Partly because of the sentimental value of the property, Rebecca Rodriguez and her children are excited to open Pueblo Viejo Mexican Restaurant in the very place her husband and their dad, the late Ramon Rodriquez, transformed a small real estate office into a spacious restaurant.

State of the Water Address well received

WELLINGTON – “The state of the water is declining, and the district is facing increased pressures to conserve our water,” said Mesquite Groundwater Conservation District (GCD) Hydrologist Amy Bush during the State of the Water Address.

Rocket Regiment earns Division II ratings

WELLINGTON – Weeks of preparation led up to the Wednesday, March 4 spring UIL Band Concert and Sight Reading Contest in Panhandle. The Rocket Regiment warmed up at 3:25 p.m., followed by its 3:50 p.m. performance.
