WELLINGTON — The Wellington Lady Rockets missed a chance at state this year,finishing 17th at the UIL 2A Region I Cross Country Championship Monday, Oct. 24 at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock. Results are as follows. 28 Addy Mock 13:48.7 101 Alyssa Lewis 15:15.9 105 Leslie Orozco 15:21.

MEMPHIS — Ryder Robison, a junior, finished fifth at the UIL 2A Region I Cross County Championship Monday,Oct.24 at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock, individually qualifying for state for the second consecutive year. This time with a season record of 17:27.9.

WELLINGTON — Picking up their second consecutive district win of the season, the No. 3 Wellington Skyrockets blasted past the Memphis Cyclones in a 50-0 blank Friday night, Oct. 14 at Powell Field.

CHILDRESS — Childress Lady Cats Clarissa Gamboa and Hailey Holder will advance to the Regional Invitational, to held Monday, Oct.24 at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock,following finishes within the top 10 at the recent District Invitational. “The girls ran really well,” Coach Maggie Collins said.
