Wellington High School educator Karoline Ashmore’s sixth-period seniors read “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner,” by Samuel Taylor Coleridge, last week. This epic poem examines the burden of an albatross that the main character carries around his neck.
Wellington High School Gifted and Talented (GT) students recently traveled to Amarillo for their annual fieldtrip. Bobcats drop games to Abernathy, Idalou

CHILDRESS — The Childress Bobcats had a tough week, dropping games to both Abernathy and Idalou. Despite outhitting Abernathy nine to seven, the Bobcats ultimately fell in a 9-7 final Saturday, April 1, as the Antelopes pulled away for good, scoring four runs in the fourth inning.
