Wellington players don pads for Rocket Pride

Rockets pad up for the first time this season during the 2023 Fall Football Camp Saturday, Aug. 5. Fans came out to get a glimpse of the “Code Red” action, which began with morning workouts Monday, July 31. Varsity and junior varsity players transitioned to afternoon workouts this week.

BROWNSVILLE — The Amarillo Fleet Track and Field Club, including Memphis’ Aija Johnson, Jurayiah Knox and Kalijah Mackie, competed in the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation (TAAF) 2023 Summer Games of Texas Track and Field Championships, held Saturday, July 29 and Sunday, July 30 in Brownsville.

Bobcat Boosters to wrap signs Monday

The Bobcat Booster Club invites the community to help wrap signs around Childress High School and Fair Park Stadium for the upcoming 2023 football season. Volunteers will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Childress High School gymnasium. Scissors, stepladders and tape will be needed.
