Eddie Sam ‘Popa’ Maxwell Eddie Sam “Popa” Maxwell, 80, of Wellington, Texas, passed away Monday, April 1, 2024. Funeral services took place at 2 p.m.

CHeleia aAndneli Wniceke rGshoame Celia Anne Wickersham, 71, of Memphis, Texas, sadly passed away on March 17, 2024, after a lengthy illness. Born in Commerce, Texas, she was the daughter of James C. Wickersham and Christine (Oglesby) Wickersham. She graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1971 and went on to earn her music education degree from East Texas State University. Celia had a long and rewarding career as a music teacher for the Memphis Independent School District, retiring after 40 years of service. She continued her love for the arts by teaching piano and flute. She was also a member of the Memphis CELIA ANNE WICKERSHAM

Royce Dan Tippett, 69, of Tell, Texas, passed away at his home on March 22, 2024. He spent his life farming and ranching up until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and watching old classic movies. He was born to William Henry Tippett Jr. and Neta Lois Griffin on June 20, 1954, in Memphis. Royce is survived by his sons, Mr. and Mrs. Triston Tippett, of Ardmore, Okla., Tarlton Tippett, of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Mr. and Mrs. Trinton Tippett, of Ponco City, Okla.; daughter Talena Tippett, of Childress, Texas; and grandchildren Tanner and Tike Tippett, of Ardmore, Okla., Tatum Tippett, of Quanah, Texas, and Levi, Kiley, Isabella, Colton and Ethan Tippett, of Ponco City, Okla. Funeral Mass for Nicolas Ruiz,Sr.,90,of Childress,Texas, was held at 2 p.m.Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Father John Sudhakar Sangabathini presiding. Interment followed at Childress Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. A Rosary was recited onTuesday, March 26, 2024, at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Ruiz passed from this life on March 25, 2024, in Childress.
