- Anne Fromm, 94, was the “birthday girl” at the recent Childress Senior Citizens Center luncheon. With an enthusiastic “Happy Birthday” sung to her, Fromm, who regularly dines at the weekly luncheon, had a choice of birthday cakes – all chocolate – as well as cobblers and pudding to satisfy her sweet tooth. - Diners at the weekly Childress Senior Citizens Center were given a preview of who to expect at the annual trick-or-treat Halloween celebration in Childress. No tricks here though, only a treat as Rylee Longbine, five-yearold daughter of Jacob Longbine, a frequent visitor at the center, came incognito for a visit. Rylee appeared as Ariel, The Little Mermaid, wearing a costume with a sequin-covered, dark-blue midsection accented with pink and lighter blues.
- Morris Grayson, a regular attendee at the Childress Senior Citizens Center weekly luncheon, gets a blood pressure check from Angels Care Home Health of Vernon Admissions Nurse Jo Ramsey. Angels Care Home Health of Vernon Marketer Melissa Conner, right, records the blood pressure numbers for Grayson. Each participant in the blood pressure check was given a card to record future measurements.
