CHILDRESS — Wednesday, Aug. 31, a Cessna 172 came in for fuel on its way from Dallas to New Mexico, and a Cessna 182, out of Amarillo, trained in the area. A Long EZ, on its way to New Mexico, stopped in to wait out some weather, and a Dassault Falcon flew in out of Fort Worth to drop off passengers.
Thursday, Sept. 1, a Cessna 172 stopped for fuel on its way from Dallas to New Mexico, and Piper Comanche fueled up on its way from Colorado to Port Lavaca. An Astar helicopter dropped in for fuel after completing training in Colorado before heading on to Dallas, and a Raytheon Hawker, out of Houston, dropped off passengers and stayed overnight.
Friday, Sept. 2, a Cessna Conquest, doing survey work out of Amarillo, fueled up, and a Long EZ stopped for fuel on its way from the east coast to Utah. A Cessna Citation, out of Lubbock, came in to watch the game, a Dassault Falcon, from Fort Worth, picked up some passengers and a Cessna Citation flew in from Wyoming to drop off passengers and fuel up.
Saturday, Sept. 3, a helicopter dropped in for fuel.
Sunday, Sept. 4, a Beechcraft Bonanza practiced locally.
Monday, Sept. 5, the Hawker fueled up and departed for Houston with its passengers, a Bell 407 helicopter dropped in for fuel and a Cessna 182, out of Amarillo, trained in the area. A Beechcraft Baron stopped for fuel and lunch on its way from Houston to Colorado, a Dassault Falcon picked up passengers and fuel and an experimental aircraft came in for fuel on a trip from Colorado to Friendswood.
