Wellington spotlights Class of 2026 basketball players
Major Brown is the son of Daryon Brown and the late Shannon Brown. Major has played varsity basketball for the Rockets for two years. After high school, Major plans to attend West Texas A&M University as a collegiate track and field athlete majoring in sports and exercise sciences. HZW Media
Armando “Tiny” Hinojosa is the son of Armando Hinojosa and Denise Garcia. Tiny has played varsity basketball for the Rockets for three years. After high school, Tiny hopes to pursue his dream of playing collegiate basketball, where he will major in pre-law.
Noah Cantu is the son of Jermaine and Ashly Cantu. He has played varsity basketball for the Rockets for three years. After high school, Noah plans to attend Texas Christian University or Oklahoma State University to major in nursing.
Bryn Phillips is the daughter of Cody and Kim Phillips. Bryn has played varsity basketball for the Lady Rockets for four years. After high school, Bryn plans to attend Texas Tech University to major in human and health sciences.
PJ Garcia is the son of Jessica Martinez and Paul Garcia. PJ has played varsity basketball for the Rockets for one year. After high school, PJ plans to major in physical therapy at Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
Brynlee Proffitt is the daughter of Coach Greg and Heather Proffitt. She has played varsity basketball for the Lady Rockets for four years. After high school, Brynlee plans to attend Texas Tech University to major in health sciences.
Eryn Torrez is the daughter of Edward and Kayla Torrez. She has played varsity basketball for the Lady Rockets for three years. After high school, Eryn plans to attend Southwestern Oklahoma State University to major in radiology.
Senior cheerleader Treylea Wiebe accepts a basketball from classmate Tiny Hinojosa. The daughter of Henry and Amanda Wiebe, the teams expressed their appreciation to Treylea for cheering the Lady Rockets and Rockets to victory all these years.
