Increased cotton demand can improve 2026 crop outlook

WELLINGTON – While cotton harvest began in early October, Farmers Co-op Society #1 ginned its last bale of the 2025 crop on Jan. 19 for a total of 61,147 bales.With the 10-year low of only 46,847 bales ginned for the 2024 crop, the 10-year average is 86,670.
