In the Childress County Heritage Museum’s annual photography contest, I narrowed my favorites to six. “The Lonely Ye l l o w F lower ” in a sea of burnt orange f l owe r s was impressive, as were the photos of the “ Te x a s Pioneer Woman” Monument, pictured with a background of the Texas State Capitol grounds and stunning clouds, and “Christmas at the Governor’s Mansion.”...
