Caldwell brings history alive for Retired School Personnel

WELLINGTON – Convening Wednesday, March 20 in the Ellis Art Center of Collingsworth County Museum, President Phyllis Floyd called the meeting of Collingsworth County Retired School Personnel to order.

CHILDRESS – Tuesday, March 26, a Cessna Citation flew in from Houston to drop off passengers before heading to Arizona; another Citation, from Arkansas, dropped passengers; and a Cessna 172 flew locally.

CHILDRESS – Modern Home Club met Thursday, March 21 at the Childress County Heritage Museum. Soundra Christy opened the meeting, welcoming members and guests. No treasurer’s report was given. Reading of the minutes were accepted without changes or additions.

Childress City Council awards sidewalk bid

CHILDRESS – Meeting Thursday, March 28, the City of Childress City Council opened and awarded bids to complete the sidewalk at Childress City Hall, including the east, north and northeast sides, as well as erect a sign and flags on the corner of the property.
