Despite a light drizzle, Childress High Schoolers attend prom Saturday, May 11, following a Prom Parade, which stretched from First Baptist Church, southbound down Commerce St. and northbound up Main St., to 1930 Remanent. The 2024 Prom Queen was Chloe Churchill, and the Prom King was Scout Smith.

Fair Park tennis courts to be closed for renovation

CHILDRESS — The tennis courts in Fair Park are scheduled for a summer makeover, a project which will close the courts to the public for 12-14 days from the beginning of the renovation start date, according to Childress Municipal Development District (MDD) Executive Director Sheabree Nix.
