Wellington EMS procures new chassis grant

WELLINGTON – In an effort to keep equipment updated, Wellington Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Administrator Farris Nation recently composed and applied for an Extraordinary Emergency Fund (EEF) grant to replace the chassis on the third ambulance, W3.

Quanah Parker’s great-great-grandson draws standingroom-only crowd during Living History weekend

WELLINGTON – A standing-room-only crowd of around 80 filled Collingsworth County Museum’s Ellis Art Center to hear special guest Lance Tahmahkera, of Burleson, the great-greatgrandson of Quanah Parker, at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4 during Wellington’s two-day Living History affair.

CHILDRESS — Tiffany Howard was recently sworn in as Childress District and County Clerk,a title which she was appointed toTuesday,Sept. 17 by the Childress County Commissioners’Court, following the resignation of former Childress District and County Clerk Barbara Spitzer.
