WELLINGTON — A Wellington man died in a single-vehicle crash in Collingsworth County early Saturday morning, Jan. 7.
Approximately four miles south of Wellington, at about 12:15 a.m., Oran Starkey III, 51, formerly of Childress, was driving a Chevrolet Silverado 1500 southbound on U.S. 83, when he failed to negotiate a curve, according to reports by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).
