WELLINGTON — With already six emergency runs in the books for Saturday, Jan. 7, Wellington Emergency Medical Service (EMS) staff gathered at 6 p.m. at the EMS barn for its annual banquet. In the middle of a hardy meal of brisket, ribs, sausage and an array of side dishes, two staff members excused themselves to respond to a call.
