Memphis ISD earns state's highest fiscal accountability rating

MEMPHIS — Memphis Independent School District (ISD) officials announced that the district received a rating of “A” for “Superior Achievement” under Texas’ school financial accountability rating system, School Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST).

WINDBREAK TREES The Hall-Childress Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is taking orders for field and farmstead windbreak trees. The types of trees available are containerized and bareroot hardwoods; both are oneyear- old seedlings.

LOVE’S CORNHOLDTOURNAMENT Love’s Travel Stop will host a cornhole tournament, benefitting the Children’s Miracle Network, at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30 at the Memphis Country Club. Entry, which includes a two-person team, will be $50.
