Memphis ISD earns state's highest fiscal accountability rating

MEMPHIS — Memphis Independent School District officials recently announced that the district received a rating of “A” for “Superior Achievement” under the Texas’ School Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST). The “Superior Achievement” rating is the state’s highest, demonstrating the quality of Memphis Independent School District’s (ISD) financial management and reporting system.

Memphis High School (MHS) will host FASFA Night at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14 at the MHS Tech Lab. Parents and students will begin and complete FASFA applications. Hall County votes in favor of certificates of obligation for courthouse restoration

MEMPHIS — With only 22.65% of Hall County voters hitting the General Election polls, voters voted in favor of the issuance of certificates of obligation in an amount not to exceed $4,000 for the purpose of evidencing the indebtedness of the county to pay contractual obligations to be incurred for renovation of the Hall County Courthouse, as well as to pay contractual obligations for professional services, levying and imposition of taxes sufficient to pay the principal of and interest on the certificates of obligatio n.
