CHILDRESS — Roughly 115 fifth-grade students from Childress Independent School District (ISD), Paducah ISD, Guthrie ISD and Wellington ISD, as well as area homeschoolers, attended Childress County Ag Day Thursday, Oct. 23 at the Mashburn Event Center and Arena.

CHILDRESS — The 2025 Vance L. “Huck” Castleberry and Terry L. Keener awards were presented during the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Childress District’s annual Safety Banquet and Wellness Fair on Friday, Oct. 24.

CHILDRESS — An estimated 600 trick-or-treaters will hit the bricks of downtown Childress from 5:30-7 p.m. this Halloween, Friday, Oct. 31, during Childress Chamber of Commerce’s annual Downtown Trick-or-Treating event.
