Wild Card Youth Rodeo cancelled

CHILDRESS — The Wild Card Youth Rodeo Winter Series has been cancelled, according to event organizer Sheabree Nix. Originally scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 24-Sunday. Jan. 25 the event was cancelled due to inclement weather.

Mailing of voter registration certificates delayed

CHILDRESS — The Childress County Elections Department, along with counties across the state, are diligently working with the Texas Secretary of State’s Office to mail out renewal voter registration certificates for 2026-2027, Childress County Election Administrator Jennifer Jones said.
