Childress High School YearbookChildress’ Ansley Parr, a junior pitcher for the Lady Cats, was recently named to Texas High School Softball’s 3A Preseason Top Players to Watch. Her sophomore season, Parr lead Texas by 19 strikeouts, ranking up 268 punchouts on just 47 walks in 126.

CLYDE — The Childress Bobcat and Lady Cat powerlifting teams recently competed in the Clyde Invitational Saturday, Jan. 31, bringing home three top-five placements, as well as five personal records.
The Childress Bobcat Basketball Program donates over $850 to We Can Care, a local nonprofit organization aiding Childress County cancer patients, Tuesday, Jan. 20 during the Childress vs. River Road matchup at Bobcat Den in Childress. Funds were obtained through the purchase of $1 paper sneakers during Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers Week, a nationwide event when basketball coaches across the country unite for a common cause—ending cancer as we know it.
