WELLINGTON – The student body, along with the teachers and support staff of Wellington Junior High School (WJHS), joined in a recent “Kaydence Mixon Penny War” for another worthy cause in the gymnasium. Justin and Natasha Mixon, along with Landry and Kaydence, attended the “Gold, Fight Win!” Firecracker pep rally in their honor.

WELLINGTON – The Wellington Skyrockets gained a measure of revenge from a year ago and won the outright District 2-2A Division II District Championship in the process, routing the Clarendon Broncos 44-8 on the road on Friday night,Nov.4. Wellington ends an impressive regular season, giving up only 16 total points.

Nov. 12 The varsity Wellington Lady Rocket basketball team plays the Claude Lady Mustangs at 6 p.m.
