Wellington High School Class of 2022 graduate Madison Waters garners the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo scholarship through the Texas Future Farmers of America in the amount of $20,000. According to Drew Taylor, Wellington FFA advisor, the scholarship is a contest for Texas FFA seniors competing across Texas. Waters will be attending Texas Tech University to study animal science. With a dream of becoming a large animal vet, she plans to continue her studies at TTU’s School of Veterinary Medicine.
