WELLINGTON – The Wellington City Council met at 6:03 p.m. in regular session, Monday, Dec. 4, 2023, with the following present: City Manager Jon Sessions, Mayor Pro-Tem Brent Martin and councilmembers Jimmy Cantu Jr., Julie Collins and Brandon Ward. Citizens Karen Caldwell, Dale Day, Neal Odom and Clint Thomas and City Secretary Sherrie Dunlap were also in attendance. Mayor Larry Adams and Councilman Kenneth Warren were unable to attend. Cantu moved to approve the minutes as presented, seconded by Ward. All approved.

Brown serves WISD students for 30 years

WELLINGTON – Georgia Brown began working in food service for Wellington Independent School District in 1993, during the reign of the late Skyrocket Football Coach James Williams. “I enjoyed serving the kids, and I am going to miss them,” she said.
