Bobcats pick up win over Abernathy

CHILDRESS – Following three consecutive losses, the Childress Bobcats picked up their first win in two weeks over the Abernathy Antelopes in a 7-4 final Tuesday, April 2. Getting on the board in the first inning, Scout Smith singled and Sawyer Dunlap doubled, each scoring one run.
Childress junior Taylor Wiseman recently competed at the 96th Annual Texas Clyde Littlefield Relays Wednesday, March 27-Saturday, March 30 at Mike A. Myers Track and Soccer Stadium at the University of Texas at Austin. At the event, Wiseman put up a third-place individual finish in discus, throwing a personal record of 47.33, followed by a seventh-place finish in javelin, putting up a personal record of 33.92, and an eighth-place finish in shot put, throwing a personal record of 13.15. Lady Cyclones drop doubleheader to Northside-Vernon

MEMPHIS – The Memphis Lady Cyclones fell twice in a double header against Northside-Vernon Monday, April 1 in Vernon. Capping a 21-12 loss in the first matchup, the Lady Cyclones put up less than half of Northside’s 16 hits. Getting on the board in the first inning,Kali Murphy singled for one run.
