CANYON — Childress High School runners recently competed at the UIL 3A District 1 Meet, grappling for a chance at regionals Friday, Oct. 11 in Canyon.

Wellington opens district with big win over Clarendon

WELLINGTON — The Wellington Skyrockets opened district Friday, Oct. 11, pulling a 63-6 victory over the Clarendon Broncos at Powell Field in Wellington.

Memphis, Wellington runners advance to regionals

WHEELER — Competing at the UIL2A District 2 Meet, Memphis’ Kyler Robison, as well as the Wellington Lady Rocket team of Addalyn English, Anna Henard, Taytum Kane, Aleah Lewis, Leslie Orozco and Sabrina Segovia, snagged regional-advancing times Wednesday, Oct. 9 at Tom Britt Memorial Park in Wheeler.

Childress closes non-district play with loss to Stratford

CHILDRESS — In the final non-district matchup of the season, the Childress Bobcats fell to the Stratford Elks, suffering their third consecutive loss.With a scoreless first half by the Bobcats, Stratford was up 7-0 at the half, thanks to a late touchdown in the second quarter.
