The Childress Bobcats defeat Slaton for the Bi-District Championship Friday, Nov. 15 in Floydada, winning their first gold ball of the season. Next, the Childress Bobcats (6-5) take on Wall (10-1) in an area-round clash at 7 p.m. tonight, Friday, Nov. 22, at Blake J. Boyd Memorial Stadium in Slaton.

On Friday, Nov. 1, Wellington High School recognized members of the Class of 2025 who are active in band, cheerleading, cross country and football. Timothy Cantu is the son of Daniel Cantu and Clara Westmoreland. He has played varsity football for the Rockets for one year.

Nov. 15The varsity Memphis Cyclone and Lady Cyclone basketball teams play the Pringle-Morse Cougars and Lady Cougars in Morse.The Lady Cyclones play at 5 p.m., followed by the Cyclones at 6:30 p.m.Nov. 18The junior high Memphis Whirlwinds and Lady Whirlwinds will play the Highland Park Hornets.

CHILDRESS — In a Battle of the Cats, Childress was bested by Canadian in a 28-7 final, as the Wildcats took the District 1-3A Division II Championship Friday, Nov. 11 at Fair Park Stadium in Childress.
