Wellington’s Salinas plays for Team Ta’Tanka in Native American All-Star Game

FRISCO – Wellington High School (WHS) senior TJ Salinas got to step back on the football field one more time as a competitor in the Native American All-Star Game at the Ford Center at the Frisco Star at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7.
Lubbock Christian University Chaparral Grace Foster, a 2021 graduate of Childress High School, is making history on the basketball court. Surpassing Carol Hise, who amassed 732 rebounds from 1990-1994, Foster joins LCU women’s basketball’s top five rebounders, standing at 742 career rebounds behind Darla Lynch (1979-1983) with 838, Tess Bruffey (2014-2018) with 845, Mamy N’Kolomoni (1998-2002) with 911 and Nicole Hampton (2011-2016) with 1,053.
