Lady Rockets grasp bi-district championship in upset win over No. 12 Stratford

PAMPA – Wellington’s Lady Rockets stunned the No. 12 state-ranked Stratford Lady Elks to earn the bi-district championship in overtime with a close 69-66 victory at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10 at Pampa High School.
Wellington High School recognized its senior basketball players between the Lady Rocket and Skyrocket basketball games against Quanah on Tuesday, Feb. 4. Brenden Garcia is the son of Johanna Garcia. He has played varsity basketball for the Rockets for four years. After high school, Brenden plans to attend Amarillo College to major in business.
