Bobcats compete in Levelland Tournament

LEVELLAND — The Childress Bobcats recently competed in the Levelland Tournament Thursday, Feb. 27-Friday, Feb. 28, going 1-2-1 overall.Kicking the tournament off against the Borger Bulldogs, the Bobcats came up short in a 9-3 final, secured by a seven-run fifth inning by Borger.

Memphis Cyclones compete in Highland Park tournaments

AMARILLO — The Memphis Cyclones recently competed in Highland Park tournaments Saturday, Feb. 22 and Friday, Feb. 28-Saturday, March 1, going 4-2 overall.Going 1-1 in the first tournament, the Cyclones picked up a win over the Hale Center Owls to kick off play.

CHILDRESS — Competing in the recent Canyon Randall Tournament, the Childress Lady Cats went 1-1, picking up a win over the Canyon Lady Eagles, as well as a loss to the Littlefield Lady Cats, Saturday, Feb. 22 in Canyon.

WELLINGTON — Despite leading by as many as six runs, the Wellington Skyrockets fell to the Hollis Tigers in a 9-8 final Monday, Feb. 24.The Skyrockets jumped on the board in the first inning, with Alex Orozco doubled to center field and Jax Heflin singling to left field, each scoring two runs.

MEMPHIS — The Memphis Lady Cyclones were on fire Saturday, Feb. 22, sweeping the Lockney Tournament for a perfect 3-0 tournament record.Starting against the Olton Fillies, the Lady Cyclones came out swinging with a 15-1 final.
