MEMPHIS — The Memphis Cyclones came up one run short against Clarendon Friday, April 11, as the Broncos took a 13-12 walk-off victory.Both offenses were strong at the plate as Clarendon collected seven hits to the Cyclones’ eight in the high-scoring affair.

PANHANDLE — Competing at the UIL 2A Area 1-2 Championships Wednesday, April 9 at Panther Stadium in Panhandle, the Wellington Skyrockets brought home an area championship title, thanks to five first-place finishes.

ABERNATHY — Competing in the UIL 3A Area 1-2 Championships, Childress’ Taylor Wiseman, a University of Oregon commit, snagged the discus and shot-put area championship titles Thursday, April 10 in Abernathy.Bobcat Colton Teichelman also earned an area championship title, throwing 151-05 in discus.

CHILDRESS — The Childress Bobcats secured another district win, downing River Road in a 4-0 shutout Friday, April 4 to bring their district record to 4-3.On the board in the bottom of the first inning, Drake Rabe walked, and Brody Hightower grounded out, each scoring one run.
