Skyrockets go 4-0 in team camp

Wellington High SchoolThe Wellington Skyrocket basketball team goes 4-0 during team camp, hosted Thursday, June 12 at the Wellington High School gymnasium. The 10 games spanned from 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m., with wins against Wheeler, Clarendon, McLean and Memphis.

Childress’ Taylor Wiseman takes national championship at Nike Outdoor Nationals

EUGENE, Ore. — Taylor Wiseman, a recent Childress High School graduate, competed at the Nike Outdoor Nationals Thursday, June 19-Sunday, June 22 at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore., taking a national championship title in discus.
The first year for seven of the Lady Rockets to play softball, one mom described the girls as growing tremendously from game one to the last game and falling in love with the sport. Lady Rocket softball seizes second place

CHILDRESS – The Lady Rocket softball team played with passion, seizing second place in the 12U division during the recent 2025 championship games in Childress.
